The Original Edit

The original car chase is a 12 minute, beautifully choreographed cat and mouse sequence through the San Francisco bay area. Here is a paired down edit, to show off a little of that magic. A visit is definitely on the cards.

The shot from the original edit, you can clearly see that the stunt driver overshoots the turn and ploughs into the white ford. The filmmakers simply cut the car crash from the plate and held a static frame.

The first step was to secure the footage needed, YouTube has become the worlds best resource for finding film sequences. There were several uploads featuring the chase in various lengths and qualities.
